Digital Painting is an intensive foundation course created for anyone interested in learning how to create digital art. As a beginner course, students are introduced to the basics of Photoshop, and the foundations of perspective, human anatomy, tone, and value. We highly recommend this course for anyone interested in pursuing a career as an entertainment artist.
Due to the intensive nature of the course, students are given homework assignments to do outside of class. Weekly lectures will cover the foundational skills in digital painting. By the end of the course, students will be given a final exam that will evaluate the skills they have learned throughout the course.
*Please note this course is required in order to be considered for the portfolio courses. (except 2D Animation Portfolio course)

One week (Aug 26th - Aug 29th) for make-up classes will be given after the regular 7-week summer schedule for students with excused absences by faculty members.
